This monument was built in 1967 as a memorial to Ginko Ogino, the first woman to be licensed as a medical doctor, who opened a clinic in Setana and for ten years dedicated herself to serving the people of this region. The Regional History Museum of Setana displays many artifacts from her daily life and valuable historical records about medical practices of that era.
